Risk Assumption
  • SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK... what does this mean? 
    • All participants and spectators entering our building assume all risks and danger of personal injury arising from or related in any way to admission to Spinnin' Wheels Skate Center and including specifically (but not exclusively) the danger of being injured by roller skates, game accessories, other spectators or roller skaters, or by thrown objects, slips and falls on or off the roller skating surface.  
    • Participant/spectator agrees that Spinnin' Wheels Skate Center, Spinnin' Wheels of Oskaloosa, LLC and its employees/volunteers are expressly released by participant/spectator for claims arising from such causes. Participant/spectator further agrees to abide by the policies of Spinnin' Wheels Skate Center and the instructions of Spinnin' Wheels Skate Center personnel. The Participant/Spectator consents to the use of his/her image, without payment of consideration, in any news broadcasts, commercial broadcasts, advertising or promotional publicity for Spinnin' Wheels Skate Center, Spinnin' Wheels of Oskaloosa, LLC.
    • Because of the normal risk of maintaining balance on skates and the possibility of contact between skaters, accidents do and can happen.  You voluntarily assume risk of injury when you skate in our building. We can not and do not carry insurance for injury to skaters.

  • No chewing gum - this rule applies for skaters and spectators
  • No shoes, food, drink, loose garments, or strollers are allowed on the skate floor
  • Socks are required when renting skates.  If you forgot your socks, you can buy a pair from us.
  • No fighting, bullying, foul language or inappropriate contact with others.  Both parties involved will be sent home in the case of a fight.
  • No outside food or drink allowed in the building.
  • No smoking or intoxicating substances allowed.
  • No in-out privledges...when you leave the building, you must pay to re-enter.
  • No refunds unless approved by management.
  • Clothing should be tasteful and not too revealing.  If you are wearing unsafe clothing to skate, you will be asked.
  • No stopping, sitting or standing along the skate floor walls.
  • No sitting on the half walls in the building.
  • Non-rental skates handbags and other personal items are subject to inspection and approval by management.
  • Adult/parent spectators only, everyone else over the age of 3 should be wearing skates.
  • Keep the entrances to the skate floor clear at all times.
  • Parents, please do not carry your children while on skates... for yours and their safety.
  • Small children may not be left unattended at any time.  They must remain in the snack area for their safety.
  • The skate floor entrance area is restricted to skaters only.  If you are not wearing skates, you shouldn't be over there.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the skate floor entrance area.
  • Parents wishing to assist their children on the skate floor but not skate, must seek approval from management to do so.  Shoes are not allowed on the skate floor... socks only at your own risk.
  • If you bring personal items with you, you alone are responsible for them.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Ask about lockers if you need one.
  • No stopping along the skate floor wall.  All skaters must attempt to keep moving at all times.
  • Jumps, spins or dancing are to be kept to the center of the floor and are permitted only during uncrowded sessions and at the discretion of the Manager.
  • Prices and session times are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Be careful when entering and exiting the skate floor. Do not skate across the paths of others.
  • No tag, wreckless fast skating, weaving through others, or roughness allowed on the skate floor.  If you cannot skate safely, you may be asked to leave.
  • Building and skate floor exits must remain clear at all times.
  • Note that security cameras are installed and in use in the building.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service at anytime to anyone.
